Production coding

MarkMate Pro process

Heavier-duty handheld for cartons, components, and repeatable production marks on SA floors.

Walk path that holds

Load the template, confirm the cartridge, wipe the head, then mark. Photograph the first good mark before the aisle gets loud. Prefered practice is to log walk height when cartons change mid-shift.

How MarkMate Pro shows up on a real shift

South African coding shifts rarely fail because someone forgot a moodboard. They fail when a batch code is missing before the bakkie leaves, or a carton mark smears in a cold room. MarkMate Pro has a practical job on the floor: keep marks honest at the rate your crew actually walks. We write for Midrand hubs, Isando export weeks, Limpopo crate yards, and coastal plants that still deal with load-shedding mid-afternoon.

Start by naming the substrate and the walk path. Cartons want different ink feel than oily steel. Soft foam wants pressure-limited heads that timber does not. MarkMate Pro assumes operators who will not read a forty-page manual between aisle swaps. We keep templates, cartridge notes, and reject habits on short cards you can pin above the dock.

Dont skip the first good mark photo. Every commissioning pack includes a template note and a tip to photograph the first good mark of the shift. That is the difference between a calm restart and a scrap WhatsApp at 05:40.

What you walk away with

You leave with a handheld matched to the substrate, a check card, and a short care note. We avoid theatre. We prefer one clear device that survives Highveld heat, coastal humidity, and mid-shift template changes. Where a field path is better, we say so and point you to Fields.

Interlink the device to a field before you widen scope. A field is the week. The device is the gear. Read the paired note under Codes so the language matches what your lead will hear. When you email code@handheld-printer.co.za, send the substrate photo, target walk speed, and which cartridge you already tried. Remember your going to want a spare pack if the aisle is long.

South African context we will not skip

Handheld Printer Co. packs assume Midrand power windows, OR Tambo export weeks, Highveld summer carton softness, and coastal condensation on chilled packs. We do not pretend a handheld replaces common sense on label stock or packing speed. We orient the walk so the shift stays calmer.

Coastal grit changes nozzle care. Inland dust changes how often you wipe the print head. Power cuts change when you photograph a mark card. A showroom hour is a booked demo, not a retainer pitch. If your fleet is past the starter stage, say so in the email. We will point you to CrateCode XL or Template Desk instead of pretending every site is day zero. Make sure you separate the outdoor UV cartridge from the indoor black when outdoor and indoor packs share a bay.

Operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd from Sunnyrock 1401, with the coding desk in Midrand. Mailto only. No on-site forms. The craft bar is portable tech cards, cool electric cyan, and checklists you can defend in a packing standup.
